Usefulness of antibiotics in coughs

Live healthy and long

Many patients hold the belief that coughs (or so with MDs) that coughs can be cured with anti biotics. It can be used for bronchitis and for other infections of the Respiratory  Tract.  But there are conflicting results.

Antibiotics are indicated for case involving infection after a sputum or mucus culture test.  However a great disservice to the patient may be caused as antibiotics can cause severe side effects as nausea, vomiting or even severe diarrhea.

See your doctor first if you have persistent cough. Antibiotics may not be the cure.
