The trouble is not with heart
Live healthy and long
According again to the alternative medicine practitioner, there is no such thing as essential enlargement of the heart. The heart enlarges because of the blocked body filter: the kidney or the liver.
The heart is just a pump. However the heart has 46x over capacity. The heart, he says, will try to compensate for reduced outflow from liver or kidney, by expanding capacity. And then the doctor will see an enlarged heart, soon call it hypermegally, leading to heart failure.
So where is the cure: heart or liver?
The liver must not be excluded from the dx.

Improving posture and breathing
Live healthy and long
Again with the alternative medicine practitioners.
The Chinese medicine man looked at my palm and noticed strong vertical lines near my right thumb and said that my throat was affected and said that my throat was affected (this is correct). And in 5 years I would be sick.
So what would I do:
l. Sit on the chair on the wrong side (face the backrest). This will cause your back to tilt backward and your chin to rise. Raise your chain up further, and try to swallow while holding your throat.
2. Put your tongue out and stretch this our so that you lessen incidence of snoring. Rotate your head while your tongue is out.
Another charlatan advice. But I find this improving my breathing.

Alternative Cures must be Cheap and even Free
Effective Cures Can be Cheap
Most of the feeds and alternative medicine videos carry with them publication for sale and or nutritionals that are for sale. Of course that is expected that the web must earn money and so with the professionals who create, write and design the websites. Research expenses, travel must be paid for. And therefore, these initiatives need funding and what could be a better way than to make the effort sustainable by selling products and services.
However, this is contrary to the position of some of those who profess AM criticizing the mainstream medicine's profit motive of the big pharma, the medical practitioners regarding their need to make large amounts of money without having arrived at effective cures, feeding their rich lifestyles, and bringing untold misery to the victims financially and physically. Current AM also want to make big money and supplant the pharmas and the mainstream MDs.
I think here the idea of social entrepreneurship, the Thailand model of healthcare, the Aravind hospital, the Chinese medicine and the Ayuvedic medicine, and even the healing doctors and spiritista at the PHL are worth looking into and benchmarking by AM.
I admire more those who favor natural foods, natural herbs and plants for treatment, and some treatments using household items:
Turmeric, and cinammon for diabetes;
Brocolli, graviola, noni, periwinkle, Indian heliotrophe for cancer;
Vit C. cesium chloride, high temp zapping, sodium bicarb, laetrile from apricot, essiac for cancer;
Brown rice as substitute for statins.
Papain, turmeric, and ginger for cancer pain management.
Cherries for joint pains and inflammation.
Foods to strengthen bodys immune system from calciferous vegetables; cauliflower, cabbage, brocoli
Brisk walking for diabetes and cardiovascular diseases.
Moringa and charantia for diabetes.
They espouse these herbs that are available in the household, in the markets and grocery stores; are not in capsules, and are not part of multi level marketing, profits, and commission. I think when products are sold not because of their efficacy but because of the commission schemes, then they are not effective and not really part of AM, it is still big pharma disguised.

My First Encounter with Alternative Medicine
Effective Cures Need Not be Expensive
When I was forty, I think my glucose intolerance was beginning and I was encountering chest pains. And naturally (of like a hypochondriac) I thought I had heart disease - heart blocks, MI etc. Fortunately I received a newsletter from a Dr. who claimed he used to be an open heart surgeon specializing in bypass operation. He was rich, but found no meaning in his work, because ultimately, many of those whom he operated died eventually. Without change in lifestyle, the patients condition would revert and die later. The bypass just delayed the eventuality despite its huge cost and trauma to the patient.
So the good doctor like Dr Brownstein reflected on what he was doing and changed tack. He said he was going preventive rather than curative. He found out in some of his cases, in open in close cases (those that were inoperable) the plaques were so hard and all over the heart, that no amount of operation could alter the atheriosclorosis, he simply advised the patient to exercise 30 minutes a day and they survived.
And which I did; and eventually did a marathon.
The overweight guy who owned Balaw balaw restaurant was diagnosed to have heart block and was scheduled for operation. I discussed the 30 minute daily walk prescription, just walk, not even brisk walking which he did. He lived for another l5 years without a bypass.
Some of the advice of the good Dr were: be happy happy, change your lifestyle, and chew your food well, eat slowly. Would you believe that made live longer and forgot about the angina?
