Eating the wild Alaskan salmon once or twice a year, will increase longevity by at least two years and lessen incidence of cardiovascular diseases.
It is better to take the wild variety rather than the farmed salmon. The farmed salmon may even be infected by ISA (Infectious Salmon Anemia Virus) also known as salmon influenza.
Why is omega 3 fat useful for health?
According to Darius Mossafriah, professor of medicine at Harvard, you need omega 3 fatty acids because 95% of body cell membrane are made of fat so you need these fats for cells to function properly.
