There is a rising rate of children in USA drinking sodas of at least once a day. One can of soda contains about l0 teaspoonful of sugar, giving rise to obesity epidemic. However rather than being replaced with water or natural fruit drinks. the sodas are replaced with artificial sweeteners which have more serious side effects. 12.5% of children drink diet drinks.
Diet drinks may actually cause weight gain and obesity. The reasons for these have been adequately explained.
