The hygiene hypotheses of health - being too clean does not strengthen immune system

Live healthy and long

Repost from Dr. Mercola archives   | May 13, 2013

Being too clean does not strengthen the body's immune system  Exposure to germs help your immune system develop antibodies to fight diseases.  Studies suggest that over hygiene diseases have doubled over the years.  Such diseases include allergies, asthma, eczema, heart disease.

Thus too much dirty dirty talk to infants make them succeptible to infections and diseases.

I learned of one such treatment for asthma (after observing incidence of asthma in city dweller children and those who live in rural areas -  there was less incidence in rural areas) is putting ascaris eggs subcutaneously in asthma victims (yuck) and the children improved.

Will you allow such treatment for your baby?

Subject:  One Drink Raises High Blood Pressure and Heart Attack Risk Drastically

This was the second most popular article in August and it stirred up great conversation in the comment area. You definitely want to check it out if you missed it (or revisit the comments).

The article revealed a new study from Harvard exposing a very common drink as a major contributor to high blood pressure, stroke and heart attacks.

What's worse, other risk factors skyrocketed with just 2 of those drinks per day as well, such as pancreatic cancer (87%), diabetes (44%) and gout (85%).

Learn more about this drink here...

A Brit lowered her BP by removing this one food ingredient

Live healthy and long

From Blue Heron News

A Brit named Angela Levin was able to reduce her systolic blood pressure  by as much as 20 points .  She did not take any medication, nor did she reduce her fat or or salt (sodium intake),

She simply reduced intake of processed food.  Processed food we know, has lost much of nutritional value and may contain the following chemicals components that are harmful to the body:   sodium, preservatives, high fructose corn syrup.

Other symptoms like headaches. lethargy and nausea

So shifting to fruits and vegetables and organic food may mean really fitness and health.

What are we waiting for?

Is your blood pressure being measured accurately

Live healthy and long

The best and most accurate way of measuring BP is using the expensive mercury sphygmonamometer.  But it is heavy and difficult to use.

There are plenty of inexpensive electronic blood pressure measuring device.  For some people, it may not work.

But that should not be the issue;  having normal blood pressure is. Blue heron health news has simple exercise to keep BP normal

Fwd: Is Natural Food Really Natural?

Many ads and food labels could be misleading. To avoid toxicity in food and hence diseases,
we prefer to go "natural" But are all naturals natural?

Subject: Jorge, Is Natural Food Really Natural

Being a reader of our natural health newsletter, you probably pay
more attention than the average Joe to what you eat and drink.
You choose natural over artificial and pick the type of food that
you consider healthier.

But this can be tricky. Oftentimes things are labeled
"natural" or the name of the food indicates that it's
natural when indeed there is nothing natural about it. Could you,
for example, explain what the difference is between artificial
flavor and natural flavor?

And did you know that if you grab a "blueberry muffin" in
your local supermarket, it's likely there is not a trace of
blueberry in that muffin? Those blue dots are processed corn
syrup with artificial flavorings.

And what about Organic- can you be 100% sure that it's really
an organic, healthy product?

This is what I'll try to shed some light on in today's
feature article. Being a complicated issue, I think it's going
to stir up some interesting conversations as well.

Subject: Jorge, Sweet News to Lower Blood Pressure

Most often people who want to lower blood pressure using diet
changes try to stay away from any "unhealthy" food. That
includes fatty and cholesterol rich food as well as sweets.

There is however one sweet that a new study showed to actually
lower blood pressure – if eaten in moderation.
