Congressman Albano was interviewed last night at DZMM on medical marijuana and he explained a lot of things on the subject matter ie that it can be used for a variety of purposes, including but not limited to cancer and pain management.

In the country MJ is still considered as dangerous drugs with many personalities being jailed for their possession (which includes the son of a movie personality)   Medical Marijuana is now legal in half of the US States.

Some facts:

1.   The cannabis plant is not considered a medicine by FDA

2.   There are two major components:

      THC    delta 9 Tetrahydrocarbinol  which produces the high

      CBD     Cannabidiol (which treats muscle spasm, epilepsy)  and is produced in oil form.  It is not popular because it is non intoxicating

3.  The medical marijuana is useful in the treatment of the following:

• diseases that affect the immune system, including:
  • HIV/AIDS
  • multiple sclerosis (MS), which causes gradual loss of muscle control
• inflammation
• pain
• seizures
• substance use disorders
• mental disorders

It helps in the management of pain in cancer and slows down the growth of tumors in rats in some experiments

Is Marijuana safe?  Now that they have legalized the pot in some states.  While they are strict on alcohol and cigarette smoking they are not so much strict on marijuana. The article says that the the proponents of marijuana. 

Yet they do not reveal  that marijuana can be destructive to the nervous system.  Would you like to try

Tom Cooper, the famed Silicon Valley talked about new developments  in health cures.  He mentioned Cannabis, marijuana.  There is a plan to legalize its use in a South American country.  By legalizing this, the sales of the pot could be used to generate revenues for government social services.

He mentioned of an acquaintance who prescribed for cancer patients.  But its use is mainly to mitigate the pain and other adverse effect of cancer.

This post tells of its use in curing cancer.  and other diseases without the side effects of pharma drugs.

It was outlawed by law in l937 when pharma lobbied for the prohibition for its use in any form.  In l942, MJ was totally outlawed.  However in l996, California for humane reason allowed use of mj for cancer treatment.
