Migraine is a debilitating condition that affects more than 26 million Americans (how many Filipinos? 1/10 I know have migraines, mostly women) Migraine usually coincide with menstrual cycles of women.
One of most common countemeasure is the Paleo diet - that does not contain wheat, grains, protein, milk and plenty of fruits.
Over l50 studies have shown connection between migraine and diet:
The commonest causes as per Lancet study were:
wheat - 78%
orange - 65%
eggs - 45%
tea and coffee - 40%
chocolate and milk -37% each
beef - 35%
cane sugar, yeast, corn - 33%
When 10 most common foods related to migraine were eliminated, there was 85% reduction in the occurence of headaches!
Some recommendation to minimize migraine headaches:
l. Have gluten free diet;
2. Go for organic foods,
3. Avoid sugar and artificial sweeteners;
4. Avoid the 10 foods found by Lancet to be related to migraine;
5. Eat raw and unprocessed food

I am not a mouthpiece of the NewmaxHealth nor or of Blaylock Wellness Report. For whatever their newsfeed is worth, it is worth looking into and experimenting. I have not met the guys nor was I able to do a background report on them and their credibility. However I find their articles unsual interesting and maybe worthy. Headaches and Migraines Affect Everyone
Migraines affect many in US (and in the PHL) It means a lot of business for MDs who are consulted for treatment (especially neurologists) and lot of prescriptions of analgesics and NSAID which makes plenty of Pharma execs rich and happy.
Sadly people with migraines and headaches are most likely to suffer from strokes, and yes untold of sufferings. Many MDs and patients view migraine as another pain management scheme. Sadly, different things happen in a migraine.
Why is there migraine?
Migraine take place because of:
l. Low magnesium level;
2. High glutamate levels in food;
3. High level of excitability.
If this is so, then the treatment MO is simple:
l. Increase level of magnesium (from supplements and banaba leaves)
Magnesium Rich Foods
2. Reduce glutamate in food or avoid food high in glutamate level
These are foods high in glutamate levels:
l. MSG
2. Natural food flavors
3. Carragenan
4. Whey Protein
5. Isolated Soy protein
6. Other foods: parmesan cheese, broths, peanut butter, gravy mixes, tomato paste
