Explanation on how vegies prevent breast and other cancer

Health for  every Juan

                                           Celery is rich in apigenin

Yes, your ma and grandma were right.  You have to eat vegetables to be healthy.

Not only that;  you can prevent cancer from getting the upper hand.

Vegetables contain complex chemicals that inhibit cancer growth and proliferation much better than Vit C and carotenoids.

It has been found out that cancer cells' growth are dependent on some enzyme signalling like: tyrosine kinase, LOX, NfKB, and phospolipase.  However, flavinoids in vegies like quercetin, apigenin, curcumin, and luteolin block these enzymes.  They eventually kill cancer cells without affecting the normal cells.

Another enzyme, aromatase plays a major role in breast cancer.  Aromatase prevents conversion of testosterone into estrogen, which fights cancer.   Apigenin in celery blocks aromatase, and thus cause cancer cell death.

Guys, eat your vegies for cancer protection.

Research shows that in experimental rats, apigenin a compound derived from parsley and celery shrank breast cancer tumors induced by a hormone replacement treatment progestin.   This was according to a studey made by  Salman Hyder, a biomedical sciences specialist at Dalton Cardiovascular Ctr. and College of Veterinary Medicine.

Apigenin did the action of suppressing the growth of cancel in 3 ways:

1.  inducing cell death (of cancer cells)

2.  inhibiting proliferation

3.  reducing expression of  gene connected with cancer cells growth
