Live healthy and long
From emedicine health
I encountered somebody who had lot of complaints: stomach aches, palpitations, head aches, migraines. Later I found out that he was on an NSAID, meloxicam, to remove inflammation and pain for gouty arthritis (meloxicam is for osteoarthritis)
The post lists serious side effect of the drug which may be causing many of the complaints: nausea, vomiting, chest pain, jaundice, allergic reactions, fever, head aches, sore throat, palpitation, or at worse, bleeding peptic ulcer.
The drug acts by blocking hormones that cause pain and inflammation.
For gouty arthritis, taking berries, cherries is one way of reducing pain and inflammation plus exercise and reducing foods rich in purines.

Why migraine strike? Natural cures from Dr. Mercola
Live healthy and long
From Dr. Mercola
Migraine is more than just a headache; it is a painful excruciating pain that seems to occur in several phases affecting more women than men. It is thought to be a vascular (affecting the brain stem) in nature sweeping across the brain, and the drugs used are mostly antihypertensive drugs which may work fifty per cent of the time. As we know for anti hypertensive drugs, there are serious side effect.
The pain is extreme and excruciating and some consider suicide as a solution. There may be nausea, fever, vomitting, chills, sensitivity to light and sound, even auras.
There are no known effective cures.
Causes:
l. Dehydration,
2. Exhaustion from extreme physical exertion, even from sex
3. Weather
4. Allergies
5. Food: msg, alcohol, high gluten diet.
6. Change in sleeping habits
7. External stimuli: disco lights, loud sounds, blinding lights,
8. Hormones
9. Stress: from financial problems, personal affairs, relationships etc.
10. Allergies
Some suggested natural cures:
l. Taking 10 teaspoons of cayenne pepper with water induces your stomach lining to release endorphins (natural morphines to remove pain)
2. Natural scents from green apples;
3 Using Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) It is effective 50 to 80% of the time)
4. Massaging the nerve beneath the eyebrows stimulate the release of pituary gland of endorphins
Other techniques:
l. Putting cold compress at forehead or back of neck
2. Massaging the earlobe and ears;
3. Massaging the crown of head (cornita)
It is hoped that this post will benefit thousands of migraine sufferers The regular treatment for migraine (the NSAID analgesics) may cause intestinal bleeding, dizziness, stroke, and heart attack.
