What is the drink that can lead to as much as 500 deaths a day around the world.

Answer:  sweetened drinks like soda, energy drinks,  and fruit drinks.  It has been attributed to be the cause of diabetes, heart disease. (I would say that energy drink is the most lethal) This a result of study at Harvard Public Health Gitanjali Singh, Ph.D  is a co author of the study.

In US about 25,000 died from those diseases linked to sweetened drinks.  The highest rate is in Mexico where 318 per million die from sweetened drinks;  the lowest is in Japan - only 10. Japan has the lowest consumption/capita of sugary drinks
