Effective Cures that are Cheap for Everyone
We need more heroes; this blog cant do much...
I do not think the ideas being propagated here would stand well with the current breed of doctors steeped into high medical technology and sophistication and which are EXPENSIVE. The most expensive and the best, agressive treatment are the key elements of Western modern medical practice being done now.
The literature that I have read on traditional medicine makes me wonder whether the now doctors stand true to the Hippocratic oath. The accusation that the dying patients paying exorbitant bills support the multi-billion dollar pharma industries who are in cahoots with the medical association to make money out of people's miseries. The dying patients support the lavish style of MDs and pharma reps.
The generic medicine hardly made a dent in the medical practice.
The leaders for health program of AGSB I think was in the right direction.
The new doctor must be resourceful, steeped in herbs, Eastern medicine, Chinese medicine. He is not motivated by wealth and greed. He is more of a missionary. He would be more like herbolario or a healing priest, or a miracle healer. He also knows western medicine inside and out. He would be more of a social entrepreneur.
This is the only way we can address the medical needs, who according to JC Kurian of the 80% of the population.
Who will make such a curriculum, which school will support such an educational venture?
Or shall we train more manghihilot, or Dr to the Barrios?
Not FPJ, but maybe the doctor to the barrio's only means of transpo.
