Live healthy and long
From Dr. Mercola Magazine September 6, 2012
Actos and Pioglitazone, two noted anti diabetic drugs with severe side effects have been given go signal for the generic version for distribution. Mylan labs was given this green light to make the anti diabetic drug affordable to more Americans. However these drugs were banned in France and Germany for increased bladder risk.
For starter, Actos has boxed warning that says that it may cause or worsen heart failure. Actos is thought to be safer than Avandia which has 43% risk of heart attack, and 64 % of cardio vascular death. What deadly drugs.
Dr Helen Ge, who worked for Takeda filed lawsuit her former employer alleged that she was asked to prepare watered down report on the safety of Actos. It is more dangerous than it is now; connected to suicide, schizoprenia, heart attacks and stroke, renal failure and homicidal ideation.
Most anti diabetes drug works by tricking the body to become sensitive to their insulin. If the tricking is pursued long enough, it has devastating effect on the body.
Diabetes is actually caused by faulty leptin and insulin signalling that can be corrected by diet and exercise.
What are the cheap cures for diabetes:
l. Severly limit sugar and high glycemic index food ;
2. Exercise regularly
3. Avoid synthetic transfat;
4. Take plenty of Vit D and Omega 3 oil
5. Optimize intestinal flora with biotics and probiotics, or reseed with fermented foods

Exercise caution when availing of any of these high tech treatments:
From Dr. Mercola magazine September 6, 2012
There are four treatments that Dr. Mercola cautions against: MiraDry, lase hair removal, public hair removal, cool sculpting.
He has this much to say vs. MiraDry, a microwave treatment of the armpits that destroys 2% of the total body hair. It causes swelling and may be dangerous to DNA and may cause cancer. There is a lot of pain and occasional swelling. The sweating and BO may be controlled in some other way.
As for the pubic hair waxing treatment, the side effects include boils, increased incidence of infection and STD.
High tech options/treatment that you must be wary about.

Could this be the cause flawed health care?
From Dr. Mercola magazine, September 3, 2012
There was a survey conducted on 7,300 physicians, and nearly half experienced burn out, 38% had high emotional exhaustion scores, and 30% had high depersonalization score.
Why such a high incidence of burn out?
First, the nature of the job; it is a stressful job watching over the health, life and death situation, nearly 60 hour work week for all, rotating duties, on call 24/7.
The training itself for the job is stressful: from internship, to residency and being board certified.
The others are bullying during the residency training, the pressure to pay back the tuition fee loans, and the threat of malpractice insurance. The latter cause the escalation of costs of health care.
Something ought to be done to prevent MD burn out!
Is this burn out the cause of many mistakes in medical practice? I burn out the cause of iatrogenesis.
The MD, not the disease being the cause of death. The stat is that 25/l00 injuries for hospital admission
