Some illnesses could not be explained by medical science. And some say that evil, witchraft could be behind this? I suspend my judgement. But having been in the Visayas, stories abound about babaylan, (even movies feature this), kulam and barang. (Barang is having insects inflitrate your body causing untold of injuries and suffering.) Do you believe?
Kulam are negative magic which causes other people to be ill. It is attributed to the devil. Religion, religious incantations are considered cures vs kulam
There could be barang and witches when you believe.
