Many fruit bearing trees are not doing their job because of decreasing population of bees. The afflication is known as CCD (Colony Collapse Disorder). This is true worldwide. This is problem in Taiwan. No human effort can equal the efficiency of pollination by bees.
A lot of factors are being blamed for CCD among them EMF radiation from cellphones. But one being blamed largely as the cause is the toxicity of pesticide known as nicotinoids . GMO is being blamed also.
So what can you do to save the bees?

There are recent studies, as late as Feb 2013, in Euro Prevent conference in Rome which shows links between air pollution and aortic calcification. The study involved 4,238 subjects and which showed:
l. for every increase in volume of PM 2.5, there is a 20.7 increased risk of CVD;
2. for every l00 meters proximity to traffic, there is a 10% increase in risk of getting a CVD
The other risks in plastic and home care products, involving parabens, phthlates, PCB, BPA, heavy metals in cosmetics have been previously discussed in this site.

Many Americans will be afflicted with allergies this spring due to pollen. Anti - allergy drug is a $14.7 business by 2015. Most of the allergies will come from air borne allergen from hay causing allergic rhinitis.
How does an allergic reaction occur?
It is a sign that body's immune system is working overtime. The first time your body encounters an allergen, the body plasma releases IgE (immunoglobin E) an antibody specific to the allergen to the mast cells. Mast cells are found on the surface of the body like skin or lining of the nose and help mediate an inflammatory response. They can release chemicals like histamines.
The second time the allergen contacts the mast cells, they release a cocktail of chemicals : prostaglandins, histamines, leukotrines - that trigger inflammatory response like coughing, sneezing, itchy eyes, sore throat, etc. Histamines can cause airways have spasm which lead to asthma or permeable leading to hives. Other things can cause allergies to other people: molds, food, chemicals, insects, insect bites, detergents, cosmetics.
Leaky gut syndrome
Eating nuts and food containing anti nutrients can make your gut permeable in a condition known as leaky gut leading to Crohn's disease or celiac disease. The gap between the cells of the stomach membrane (enterocytes) allow food, waste and metabolic waste that must be in the intestine to leak to the blood stream leading to auto immune system/inflammation. Leaky gut can also lead to allergic reactions. To repair the leak, we avoid grains and nuts, and processed food. There is a growing trend in the PHL (probably copied and from USA and popularized by athletes - basketball players and boxers and actresses) for tatoos, and body piercings.
The downside is that in US, there are probably 4 million Americans with a contagious difficult to cure disease - hepatatis B. And for many locals, those with body piercings and tatoos cannot get health certifications that will enable them to work abroad.
What is a hepa B - is a viral infection that affects the liver and may be accompanied by any or all of the symptoms: fever, jaundice, fever, fatigue, joint pain.
On the other hand, manicure can cause any of the following: infections from using of unsterilized tools, hepa v, and toxic chemicals from hair polish.

Mammography is being touted as safe and reliable, is it?
