Foods that reduce risk of prostate cancer

This post is most important to men over 50, who are likely to develop BPH or worse prostrate cancer, one of the leading causes of death for men over 50.  In USA, about half million men would be diagnosed with prostate cancer.

However there are foods that can reduce risk of prostate cancer.  Some of them:

1 Brocolli.  For those without the disease yet, 3 servings  of the cruciferous vegetables like brocolli and cabbage can reduce the risk of cancer by 41%.  For those with cancer all ready, the body converts indole-30- carbinole into DIM which prevents cancer cells from multiplying;

2.  Tomatoes.  Lycopene in tomatoes, especially those cooked with small amount of oil reduced cancer risk by 3l%

3.  Green tea.  Reduced cancer cell risk by 90%

4.  Garlic.    Reduced cancer risk by 50%;  scallions reduced risk by 70%
