I Have to Create this Blog

Effective Cures Need Not be Expensive

I have been doing a lot of blog for cycling and for new ideas and I frequently come across feeds and articles on very important new ideas on health and medical care.  They are not in the mainstream medicine and oftentimes contrarian.  The allegation is that the cure recommended is not accepted by the medical societies, the association of mds, and even foundation for the diseases.  Thus sometimes  the blog posts on medicine and health care are sometimes out of place in the biking blog or innovation blog.

This blog is inevitable.

They are all ready quite a number and thus I think this blog is inevitable.  And the the more I try to study what the blog is all about, the more I find this thing to be interesting. Thus this morning, I picked up a newsfeed from newsmax health on oxygen therapy for cancer.  When I googled the topic, the more I found out that are interesting that I think would be beneficial to friends who are afflicted by the disease.  Most of the time, they suffer emotionally and financially with no cure in sight.  At least, if the recommended cure here is cheap and it does not work, then the financial burden does no have to be great.

The knowledge should be made available to everyone

I talked to a Dr acquaintance who was sick with malignancy and whose brother is in Stage 4 of CA was amazed at the conversation we had and requested me to share my blog on alternative cure. I thought that this was available to everyone;  well it is not.

Cures and treatment should be affordable to the poor

My teaching experience with MBA for MDs made me aware of the Leadership in Health Program of the Health Unit of GSB and one of its goal was to be strategic with regards to health care in the rural Philippines.  With no or little resources, the MDs in the barrios have to deal with tropical infectious diseases like elephantiasis and dengue, maternal and child mortality, malnutriiton, and many more.  And to think that DOH has been steadily pushing for corporatization of its facilities.

A healthy nation is a wealthy nation

It has been emphasized by former University President that there are two impt concerns of nation building:  basic education and health care.  Those who fail to take care of the health of its people forfeits its future.  A healthy nation is a wealthy nation.

And yet the imbalance, the lack of care, and the ever spiralling increse in health care continues. and no end seem to be in sight.

India example

The Aravind hospital in India was able to be viable with its $5.00 cataract operation.  It has accomplished its goal of being the McDo of eye operations as envisioned by Dr. V.  It even has its own factory for cataract eye lenses. In Thailand, they try to maintain their capitation at l,200 baht  but actual costs are at 2,400 baht.  The fees to be paid by the Thai residents, for any admission is only 30 bahts.  And the social entrep doctor made in charge by the King to handle this did this through IT.  Costs are maintained by finding out the prevalent diseases, stocking only drugs relevant to the prevalent diseases, and putting resources only in areas where they needed.

The costs of 2,400 baht was reached because of the lifestyle diseases thus the MDs there are campaigning or proper nutrition, change in lifestyle and organic food to lessen incidence of lifestyle diseases and reduce the 2,400 cost.  Only a certain kind of social entrepreneurship, ascetism, being a man for others would make it possible to reach this level of service:   affordable excellent health care

Citizens have responsibility for their health

Citizens have thought that to be healthy, the government hospitals and health centers must take care of their health. This is not the case.  Citizens must be in charge of their health.

They must know what affect their health:   sanitation hygiene, diet and lifestyle and live accordingly
