Do Omega 3 fatty acids raise the risk of prostate cancer?

Dr. Mercola has long advocated the taking of Omega 3 for many ailments.  And yet reccently headlines blared the possible danger of Omega 3 for prostate cancer developments.<tumorigeneric?>  These scary news came out of Science Daily, Huffington Post, Time, Nursing Times, and Time Magazine.  The news was based on a finding published last July 10 at the Journal of National Cancer Institute

It was pointed out though that none of the subjects took Omega 3 during the time of treatment/or study,  The higher DHA level was equated with taking Omega 3 supplements.  There is a criticism vs. Dr. Alan Cristy by Dr. Bowden in a Huffington Post rebuttal that the conclusion by Dr. Cristy was related to his strong anti nutrional supplement bias.

It was conveniently not mentioned/ignored that the subjects:   smoked, took alcohol, and were obese:  other cancer triggering factors.
