Live healthy and long
Repost from Health Cracker | July 31, 2013
According to Dr. Nehmet Oz, the host of popular TV program bearing his name, a pinch of this spice could reduce the compulsive behavior that leads to over - eating. (low level of serotonin; that means caffeinated coffee which causes increase in level of serotonin can curb overeating too!)
The same idea is shared by Cathy Wong of About.com, an alternative health guide. However the small sampling done was not conclusive, (small sample/no significant stat?)
Caution must be exercised though in using saffron as: it can make mood swings, may cause vomiting, can lead to dizziness, drowsiness and head aches.
