Is Cooking on Teflon Pans Dangerous to Your Health?

Effective Cures Can be Cheap

Well, the answer is no.  If you are still doubtful, switch to ceramic or stainless steel pans.

If you believe that it  is not toxic and you do not want to see bits of teflon on the pan:

l.  Do not use steel wools when cleaning the pan;

2.  Use wooden spoons, when you stack them put paper towels;

What is dangerous is when you overheat the pans above 600 degrees, in which case, the teflon coating can release the deadly PFOA (perflourocatanic acid) a synthetic chemical that is suspected to be carcinogen and is used widely in stain resistant clothing, sealants on fast food sealants, including pop corn bags.  Du Pont and  EPA agreed to phase it out by 20l5. (So it is phased out)

So to avoid overheating the pans, buy the thicker but heavier pan.  In case you find teflon bits in your food, it is completely harmless
