Surgical and Anaesthesia Mistakes Common

Effective Cures Need Not be Expensive

In a startling study, and published in Journal of Anaesthesia and Analgesia, surgical mistakes were found to be common resulting in deaths and injuries and have catastrophic effects to both the patients and the mds (especially the anaesthesiologists) Of the 600+ plus mds surveyed, 84% said they experienced such catastrophic events, and had an average of 4.4 events.  Hmmm that is interesting.

2/3 experienced guilt and could not adequately care for their patients  for everyone.

Hmmmm.  The surgeons and anaesthesiologists have a lot of risks and must be more careful;  and so with the patients.  Look for second opinion

I know of a history of a person who had chest pains and was advised he would undergo an open heart surgery.  Since he did not have the Pl million needed up front, he did not undergo the surgery.  He could not afford it.  He is still alive.  Was the surgical advice necessary?  Did the surgeon err on the dx?

"First do no harm?!"
