A team of scientists led by Igor F. Tsigelny at University of California - San Diego found the switch to controlling blood pressure.  The substance is a peptide called catestatin, and the discovery could change the way high bp of more than 76 million Americans can be treated.  A drug that can mimic the action of catestatin, needs to be discovered/invented....

Would it be another statin?
