In a study presented to the American Heart Association by Penny Chris - Etherton a professor of nutrition at Penn State, high oleic vegetable oil (contains monounsaturated fats) like canola oil can reduce belly fats by 1.6%. This plus exercise can reduce belly fats. We know that belly fats mean can mean fats in liver, lungs and heart leading to shorter life.
It also leads to reduction of metabolic syndrome that leads to heart disease
