Cruciferous Vegetables are Best for Detox.

Effective Cures Can be Cheap

Cabbage vs cancer;  great for detox

Again this is from "The Food Pharmacy" This is from the Chapter aptlly entitled  Cabbage- Cancer Connection pp 56 -63,  This stems from the initial findings of Dr. Lee Wattenberg of University of Minnessota Medical School.  Since l960, his group has been researching how foods like cabbage and brocolli could reach cells and stop cancer.  (Would other foods have been investigated and fare as much, if there were other samples.)  Dr. Wattenberg experimented with animals.  He found out that if you feed rats/animals with extracts from cruciferous vegies (so called because their flowers resembled crosses) the growth of cancer was stopped/did not start.  He called it chemoprevention

There was a parallel study made by Dr.Saxon Graham, chairman of social and preventive medicine at State University of New York at Buffalo.  He did a study on humans and corrolated  stats on incidence of cancer and eating of cruciferous vegetables and found striking correlation.

Now it was found out that eating these vegetables accelerated the body's process of detoxification.

What are the cruciferous (cabbage family, curbaceous) vegetables:

cabbage
kale
cauliflower
cress
brocolli
brussels sprout
kohlarbi
radish
horse radish
mustard
turnip

They all taste unpleasant to me.  But they are medicinal.

So if you go to KFC order plenty of coleslaw with plenty of onions.
