High Health Care Costs Do Not Translate into Good Health?Longevity

Effective Cures that are Cheap for Everyone

This recent report on Health Care Costs and Longevity make us conclude that there is something more to longevity and good health.  US is the first in health care spending at about $6,000/capita (some say it is at $8,000.  But it is the 27th in longevity.

The entire world has spent $4.0 trillion on health care.

Other countries like China, Sri Lanka and Singapore  spent less but had better longevity.

It is therefore wrong to assume that spending more means better  health.  This is the mental model of current health care cost:   hospitals with latest equipment, more expensive medicine, more research.  The sad thing in US for instance is that cure rate for cancer and other chronic diseases has not budged over the years, nor has treatment protocols.

That good health is impossible with cheapcures is a heresy.

Yes we can improve quality of life not with more health expenditures.

This blog is about that.
